Do I need to rent a room or venue for my birthday?
No. On the water you rent a whole private boat instead of a Hall. You have the boat all to yourself and your guests, incl. skipper and unlimited drinks. There is no need for a separate party location or space, the boat is the location.
Where Can I celebrate my birthday on a boat in Amsterdam?
The boats depart from fixed boarding locations at Amsterdam Central Station, such as Oosterdokkade and Ruijterkade. You sail through the canals or over the IJ. In consultation, another boarding or alighting place is often possible.
How much is a birthday on a boat in Amsterdam?
Prices start from € 39,95 per person incl. VAT and depend on the boat, the sailing duration and the group size. This includes skipper and unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks. Snacks, dinner or bbq are optional.
How many people can I book a birthday for?
From an intimate party to a big party: there is room for it 10 to 700 people. Smaller groups sail on a luxury sloop or saloon boat through the canals, large groups on a passenger or event ship across the IJ. You can book individual tickets with less than 10 people.
How long does the cruise take?
The duration depends on the chosen route, from 1.5 hours to 4 hours or longer. Event op het Water recommends at least 2.5 hours, so you have enough time to celebrate quietly and enjoy the city.
Can I decorate the boat or choose my own theme?
Okay. You may bring your own decoration or have the boat dressed by one of the partners. You can also play your own music via bluetooth. This way you can turn the birthday into a party that suits you completely.
Does the boat go on when it rains?
Okay. All sloops, saloon boats and passenger ships can sail covered and heated. Even in bad weather, the boat trip will continue and you will stay warm and dry.
Can dietary requirements be taken into account?
That's possible. Events on the Water can be halal, vegetarian or gluten-free. Specify in advance how many people are involved, so that all guests can enjoy.
Is the boat still available on my date?
