The Spaarne is the large river that flows through the city of Haarlem. It forms the main vein of the water system and is the most popular route for a cruise. Along the Spaarne are historic warehouses, the mill De Adriaan and the Teylers Museum. The Spaarne connects Haarlem to Spaarndam, the Beautiful Nel and finally the IJ.
The New Gracht
The Nieuwe Gracht runs through the center of Haarlem and is one of the picturesque waterways of the city. The starting point for the cruises on the Nieuwe Gracht 80 is on this canal. Along the Nieuwe Gracht there are ancient buildings, cozy cafes and restaurants.
The Old Gracht
The Old Gracht is one of the oldest canals in Haarlem and dates from the Middle Ages. For a long time the moat had a crucial role in the trade and transport of goods. Today the old canal is a popular place to explore from a sloop. The old canal has preserved much of the medieval character.
The Beakenesserracht
