How much does a new year's drink cost in The Hague?
The price starts from € 39,95 per person incl. VAT for 2 hours on a luxury sloop and increases to € 64.95 per person for 3.5 hours with linked sloops. Is the boat sailing in January?
Yes, the boats sail all year round. In the winter months, the canopy slides shut and the boat is heated, while the bar simply remains open. Only in extreme weather conditions, an alternative date is sought in consultation with the sales department.
Where do you go in The Hague?
The fixed boarding location is the Bierkade in the center, near the Binnenhof and easily accessible by public transport and car. Parking is available in the immediate vicinity. In consultation with the sales department, you can also board at De Pijp for a route towards Voorburg, or at the Scheveningen Port.
How many people can I book?
A luxury sloop can accommodate 10 to 40 people. For groups of up to 100 people, several sloops are linked that sail out at the same time, each with its own bar and skipper. Larger groups of up to 700 people are possible in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Utrecht.
What is the difference between a new year's drink and a new year's reception?
A new year's drink is usually informal and intended for colleagues’s among themselves. A new year's reception is more formal and focuses on relationships, customers or members. Both are possible on board. For a reception, a longer Cruise is usually chosen, with a more elaborate snack arrangement and space for a speech.
Can the drinks take place in the evening?
Yes, the evening tour is the mostchosen option in January. The Hague's canals and monuments are then illuminated and the city is quieter than during the day. Departure is possible until about 22: 00, depending on the municipal rules.
How far in advance should I book?
The second and third weeks of January are the busiest, especially Thursday and Friday nights. Booking in november or december gives the most choice in date and time. Due to the wide range of sloops, there is also regular availability in the shorter term.
