End the year on the Haagse water
A private sloop takes ten to forty guests. With a larger department or the entire company, more boats go out at the same time, together for a hundred people. On board is a skipper, there are catering staff and beer, wine, soft drinks, coffee and tea are unlimited included.
There is no fixed departure time and no shared space with other companies. You decide what time you get on board and how long you sail, which is useful if the drink connects to a working day or a meeting that ends. Combine the drinks with the Royal Christmas Fair
At the Lange Voorhout is the Royal Christmas Fair every year, in 2026 from 3 to 23 december. It is one of the largest Christmas markets in the country and admission is free. From the Bierkade you can walk to it in about ten minutes, along the Spui and the Binnenhof.
That yields two workable sequences. If you start with the cruise, the company steps onto the market warmed up and with a drink in their pocket; useful if people go home themselves afterwards. If you start at the market, the boat is the hot end and you keep the group together until the end. That second variant works better if there is a speech or a thank you from the management on the program.

Two routes in winter
Through the illuminated city center
This tour remains within the canals: via the Veerkade and the Mauritskade to the Spuigracht, with the Binnenhof and the Mauritshuis in the picture along the way. In december, the facades and bridges are illuminated and it is quiet on the water, while it is busy in the city. One and a half to two hours is enough here. Towards Scheveningen after dark
Via the refreshment canal you sail through the dunes to the Port of Scheveningen. In winter, that is a completely different backdrop than in summer: Dark water, the illuminated Pier in the distance and hardly any other boats. The sailing to Scheveningen lasts two and a half hours. Keep in mind that it feels colder on the open water near the harbor than in the canals, so mention in the invitation that a jacket is wise.

How much does a Christmas drink cost in The Hague?
How long you sail determines the amount per person. Ship, crew, catering team and everything that goes through the bar fall within it, VAT included.
- 1.5 hours: € 39,95 per person
- 2 hours: € 44,95 per person
- 2.5 hours: € 49,95 per person
- 3 hours: € 57,95 per person
Calculation example: with thirty participants and a two-hour cruise, you land around € 1,350, including VAT and all consumptions. Food, mulled wine and entertainment are separate from that. Getting in the center
Departure is from the Bierkade, within walking distance of the Binnenhof and the Lange Voorhout and easily accessible by tram or car. Parking is possible in the immediate vicinity. If you are sailing towards the coast, it is possible to board or disembark at the Scheveningen port in consultation, for example if the evening continues there. How early should I book for december?
December fills up quickly, especially on Thursday and Friday nights. If you are stuck with a fixed date, it is best to book from september. An afternoon cruise during the week can usually be arranged later. Within 24 hours of your application you will know if the date is free.
Can we combine the cruise with the Christmas market?
Okay. The Royal Christmas Fair on the Lange Voorhout is about a ten-minute walk from the Bierkade. You can visit the market before or after the cruise. If you start with the boat, then the group is warmed up; if you end with it, then everyone stays together until the last.
Won't it be cold on board in december?
The hood closes completely and the sloop is heated, so it remains pleasant inside. Coffee and tea are included and mulled wine can be booked. On the route to Scheveningen it feels fresher on open water, so a jacket is not a luxury there.
How many colleagues can join?
On one sloop ten to forty people. For larger groups, several sloops are coupled, together up to a hundred guests. Above a hundred, We branch off to Rotterdam, where passenger ships and event ships sail.
Is there a Christmas dinner on board?
Okay. The kitchen puts together the menu according to your wishes, from snacks to a full dinner. Indicate dietary requirements and allergies when applying, then this will be taken into account.
Do we get one invoice?
Yes, one invoice including VAT for the entire package. The bar is not counted, which means that the quotation and the final invoice amount to the same amount.
