Some of the providers in Rotterdam work with a floating dinner: you will be taken by boat or water taxi to three restaurants for appetizer, main course and dessert. Nice concept, but you are mainly getting in and out. At Event op het Water, the catering staff sails along and everything is served on board, without stops.
- Buffet on board. Works best with larger groups on the passenger ship or event ship. Everyone runs at their own time.
- Three-course menu at the table. Served by the waiters, suitable on the saloon boat where there are fixed tables.
- Walking dinner. Multiple small dishes throughout the cruise, ideal if you want people to keep walking around and mixing.

How much does a dinner boat cost in Rotterdam?
The price is divided into two parts. The cruise starts from € 24.95 per person incl. VAT on the luxury sloop and goes from € 49.95 for the routes over the Meuse and through the port to € 69.95 per person on the passenger ship or event ship. It contains the boat, the skipper, the catering staff and unlimited beer, wine, soft drinks, coffee and tea.
The dinner arrangement comes on top of that and depends on the menu. When comparing quotes, pay attention to two things: whether the price includes or excludes VAT, and whether the drink is included. In this market, amounts are often referred to as excluding VAT and excluding drinks, which means that the final bill is significantly higher than the first impression.

- Count your company. Up to 60 people fit a sloop, up to 100 a saloon boat, above that a passenger ship or event ship.
- Choose the sailing area. The Meuse for the skyline, the harbour for the industrial atmosphere, the Rotte for calmer water for small groups.
- Determine the duration. Two hours for a compact dinner, four hours if a program or speech is added.

Event op het Water has three fixed boarding locations in Rotterdam. Which one applies depends on the type of boat and the sailing area.
- Tree damage 750. The main location, right in the Center on the Nieuwe Maas. Departure point for almost all cruises over the Maas and through the port, within walking distance of Rotterdam Blaak.
- Linker Rottekade 4A. For sailing on the Rotte with the luxury sloop, outside the busy port area.
- Parkhaven 9. At the Euromast, convenient when dinner is connected to a program in the Park or on the Westzeedijk.
Deviating from these locations can be done in consultation with the sales department. Getting on and off does not have to be done in the same place, which is useful if dinner is the beginning or end of a longer day.

Where can you get off in Rotterdam?
The main location is Boompjeskade 750 in the center. In addition, boarding is possible at the left Rottekade 4A for cruises on the Rotte and at Parkhaven 9 at the Euromast. You can deviate in consultation with the sales department, and getting on and off does not have to be in the same place.
Will the food be served on board?

Does the boat also sail in bad weather?
Yes, the saloon boats and passenger ships are covered and heated, so a dinner on the water is possible all year round. In case of rain or wind, it stays dry and warm inside, while the outdoor deck is available as soon as the weather clears up. Only in extreme circumstances will an alternative date be sought in consultation.
