Each cruise is private and includes skipper. You are not on a tour boat between other companies and Event op het Water does not use standard tour boats. You can board at the Anne Frank House, Amsterdam Central Station, the IJ or the Rijksmuseum, depending on the route.
For a cruise in Amsterdam with food, Event on the water recommends at least 2.5 hours. It can be shorter, but then the food becomes hasty. If you want to sail without food on board, look at the private canal cruise Amsterdam.

This question comes in often, so the honest answer is here. A private boat with dinner can be booked at Event on the Water from 10 persons. Under this, an entire boat with skipper, service and kitchen becomes disproportionately expensive per person.
- With two or four people. View the single tickets for a cruise at fixed times, where you book per person instead of per boat.
- With six or eight people. Fill up to ten and a private boat becomes attractive. The costs are in the boat and the crew, not in the extra guests.
- From 10 people. A private saloon boat with dinner on board, fully furnished to your liking.
- Romantic dinner for two. On a private boat, this is possible as part of a larger company, for example, when proposing during a family cruise.

How to book a dinner cruise step by step
- Determine the group size. Up to 70 people sail through the canals on a saloon boat or sloop. Above that, Event switches on the Water to the IJ.
- Choose the duration. Count on at least 2.5 hours for dinner. Three hours is the mostchosen option and gives rest between courses.
- Choose the route. The canal belt for the classic image, the transfer route when dinner is part of a longer day.
- Compose the menu. From a walking dinner to a multi-course menu at the table. Provide dietary requirements and allergies in advance, then the menu will be adjusted accordingly.
- Add extra & #8217; s. Champagne at reception, live music or table decoration. If you want to continue with a drink after dinner, look at the borrelboot Amsterdam.

The dinner arrangement comes on top of that and depends on what you serve. A walking dinner is lower than a multi-course menu with table service.
