What's on the tapas shelf?

The tapas package combines cold and hot Spanish dishes that the catering staff prepares and serves on board. Think of serranoham, manchego, chorizo, marinated olives, gambas, albóndigas, patatas bravas and tortilla. Vegetarian, vegan and halal variants are compiled on request, so please indicate dietary requirements when requesting.

At the bar you lack nothing. The Dutch bar with beer, wine, soft drinks, coffee and tea is unlimited and is included in the price as standard. You can add a glass of cava or a pitcher of sangria as an upgrade, to match the tapas. The cold dishes are ready on departure, the Hot Ones come out of the galley during the cruise, so that gamba’s and patatas bravas come warm on the table instead of lukewarm.

Tapas is the only food format that scales

This is why a tapas boat in Rotterdam works so well. A served three-course menu for two hundred guests requires service by the envelope, tight timing and a kitchen that can handle it. No Tapas. Scales go around, people grab what they want, and whether that happens on a sloop with twelve men or on a passenger ship with two hundred makes no difference to the shape.

The outer deck as a second space

The Rotterdam saloon boats and passenger ships have an outer deck, and with tapas it is worth more than with a seated dinner. Between two rounds, part of the group walks outside for fresh air and the view of the Erasmus Bridge, while the rest stay inside. Fifteen minutes later, the composition of both groups is different again.

That's exactly what you want in a company where not everyone knows each other equally well. The guests who sat down next to each other at the beginning are guaranteed to sit somewhere else at the end. On the open sloop, the same thing happens, only without separation between inside and outside.

The minimum for an event on the Water is 10 people. Below that number, a whole boat with skipper and operator per person becomes disproportionately expensive, because the costs are in the boat and not in the guests who come to it.

Please note: in Rotterdam, tapas packages for two people are also sold as a gift voucher, on fixed sailing times and on a fixed boat. That is a different product than a private charter. Embarkation and disembarkation locations in Rotterdam

Which location applies depends on the type of boat and the route chosen.

• Tree damage 750. The main location, right in the Center on the Nieuwe Maas. Departure point for almost all cruises over the Maas and through the port, within walking distance of Rotterdam Blaak and the Markthal.
• Linker Rottekade 4A. For the trips over the Rotte with the luxury sloop, outside the busy port area.
• Parkhaven 9. At the Euromast, handy when the Tapa tour connects to a program in the Park or on the Westzeedijk.

Deviating from these locations can be done in consultation with the sales department. Getting on and off does not have to be done in the same place, which is useful if the company continues somewhere after that.
