The Hague waterways require compact boats. The city canals in the city centre have low bridges and narrow passages, making Event on the Water in The Hague sail with luxurious open sloops. One boat is suitable for 10 to 40 guests. For larger weddings we connect several boats, up to 100 people.

Each booking is a private boat. No one else gets in, there's no fixed departure time and the route isn't fixed. You decide how long you sail, where you step and what happens on board.

How much is a wedding in The Hague on the water?

You pay per person, and the amount moves along with how long you sail. Each rate already includes the boat, the skipper, the operation and the drink, including VAT.

• 1.5 hours: € 39,95 per person
• 2 hours: € 44,95 per person, also suitable for evening sailing
• 2.5 hours: € 49,95 per person
• 3 hours: € 57,95 per person, the Trekvliet route
• 3.5 hours: € 64,95 per person

A math example. If you marry 30 guests and choose the 2.5 hour route to Scheveningen, you will arrive at about €1,500 including VAT. There's the boat, the skipper, the service and all the drinks. Three sailing areas for your wedding in The Hague

1. The Hague city canals along the Binnenhof

From the Bierkade you sail through the historic city canals, along the Veerkade, the Mauritskade and the Spuigracht. Along the way you pass the Binnenhof and the Mauritshuis. The Hofvijver itself is not pervaable, but you pass through the adjacent canals, and that is when the photographer does his work. 2. Via the Refresh Channel to Scheveningen

This is the route that makes The Hague unique. The Refreshing Canal runs from the center through the dunes to the Scheveningen Haven, overlooking the Pier and the beach. You start between the canal houses and end up by the sea, in two and a half hours. You can dock at the port, so the company there continues the evening. 3. De Trekvliet direction Voorburg and Delft

De Trekvliet is an old canal that connects The Hague to Voorburg, Leidschendam and Delft. Quiet water, green banks and historic outskirts along the side. This trip takes from three hours and is the choice for a wedding that runs all afternoon, with a lunch or walking dinner en route. • Standard included: the private boat, an experienced skipper, catering staff and unlimited beer, wine, fresh, coffee and tea.
• Food on board: drinks, a walking dinner, an extensive lunch or high tea, all freshly prepared in their own kitchen.

• Music: a singer or DJ on board, in consultation with the skipper because of space.
